IRS Rebuild · Mitigation to Move-In
Post-Disaster Reconstruction Done by One Team
When water, fire, or storm damage hits your property, you shouldn't have to coordinate between a restoration company, a general contractor, an adjuster, and three different subcontractors. IRS Rebuild is the in-house reconstruction division of Independent Restoration Services — the same crew that performs your emergency mitigation also rebuilds the property from the studs out.
One licensed contractor. One Xactimate scope. One project manager from the emergency call to the day we hand back the keys.

The IRS Difference
From Mitigation to Move-In
Most restoration companies stop at drying. From there, you're handed a list of contractors, told to gather new bids, and left to manage a second insurance conversation while your home sits gutted. The handoff alone typically adds 4–6 weeks to a rebuild.
IRS Rebuild eliminates the handoff. Our mitigation crews and reconstruction crews work from the same scope, on the same schedule, with the same project manager. Documentation moves forward instead of being recreated. The result is faster timelines, accurate insurance estimates, and a single point of accountability — start to finish. Common Rebuild Questions
What is post-disaster reconstruction?+
Post-disaster reconstruction is the structural and finish rebuild that happens after emergency mitigation (drying, demo, board-up). It includes framing, drywall, mechanicals, flooring, cabinetry, paint, and every other trade required to restore a property to pre-loss condition — or better.
How is IRS Rebuild different from a typical general contractor?+
We are the in-house construction division of Independent Restoration Services. The same company that performs your emergency water, fire, or storm mitigation also handles the full rebuild. That means a single Xactimate scope, one insurance claim, one project manager, and no gap between phases.
Do you work directly with my insurance company?+
Yes. We write all estimates in Xactimate, communicate directly with your adjuster, file supplemental claims for hidden damage discovered during demolition, and bill your carrier directly. Most homeowners pay only their deductible.
Where does IRS Rebuild operate?+
We serve three regional markets: Middle Tennessee (Nashville and surrounding counties), Central Kentucky (Lexington and the Bluegrass region), and the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in North Texas.
How quickly can you start a rebuild?+
Emergency mitigation begins within one hour, 24/7. Reconstruction typically begins within days of insurance scope approval. Single-room rebuilds usually finish in 3–6 weeks; whole-home rebuilds in 3–6 months depending on scope.
